How Effective are the COVID Vaccines?
Biopharmaceutical companies Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson all claim that the effectiveness of their respective vaccines is above 90%, and even Sinopharm’s inactivated coronavirus vaccine is said to be as high as 78%. However, the recent COVID outbreak around the world has raised the question of whether these vaccines are as effective as advertised and has raised suspicions on the functionality of the vaccines. The following table shows the percentages of fully vaccinated people in the three countries that have released their data and the percentages of those new cases that involve people who have been fully vaccinated. Nearly half of the newly infected people in these countries are fully vaccinated, showing that there does not seem to be any clear relationship between the rate of vaccination and infection.
|Country||Percentage of people who have been fully vaccinated||Rate of fully vaccinated people in new cases|
Seychelles has the highest rate of COVID-19 vaccinations in the world. The country has a population of approximately 100,000. As of May 2021, 61% of its population has been vaccinated, 57% took China’s Sinopharm vaccine, and 43% took AstraZeneca’s vaccine (AZ). As of May 8th, 37% of the newly confirmed cases of COVID-infected people have received two doses of the vaccine. Yet the Health Department of Seychelles did not release the number of people who received Sinopharm’s vaccine . Seychelles stated in a report that the effectiveness of the Sinopharm vaccine is just 50%, instead of the acclaimed 78.1% .
At the same time, Israel is also facing an outbreak with the Delta strain, and half of the infected people have been fully vaccinated. As of now, more than 55% of Israel’s 9.3 million citizens over the age of 16 have received two doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, which is approximately 5.1 million people. Meanwhile, the new cases in June show that the proportion of infected people who have been fully vaccinated is between 40% and 50%. Israel, which once scrapped the indoor face mask order, had no choice but to it again. Ironically, Alon Rappaport, Pfizer’s medical director in Israel, still stated that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is very effective against the Delta mutant strain, with an effectiveness of 90% 。
In the United Kingdom, as of the week of June 21st, a total of 514 new cases were hospitalized, of which 304 were not vaccinated and 210 people were vaccinated. In other words, among the deaths in the UK, the proportion of people who have received two doses of the vaccine has risen to 42.7%, which is close to the two-dose vaccination rate of 49% .
In addition to the above countries, Chile, Bahrain and Mongolia have reported that about 50% to 68% of the population has received both doses of the vaccine, the coverage rate even exceeds that of the United States. As of the end of June, these four countries are among the 10 countries which have been impacted the most by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is clear that the high rates of vaccinations have not prevented COVID-19 outbreaks .
These countries are at the forefront of the world in terms of COVID-19 vaccinations, with both inactivated coronavirus vaccines and mRNA vaccines, yet the number of infectious cases is still increasing exponentially. This has raised the question of whether the vaccines are really effective against mutant strains of the virus. If the efficacy rates of the vaccines are low, then all these vaccines which are still in experimental stages will only cause health hazards to the human body. Even though vaccinations started less than a year ago, many hazards may not yet be evident. Published data has already shown the serious side effects of these vaccines. These include blood clotting, strokes, myocarditis, cardiovascular inflammation, facial paralysis, anaphylactic shock, etc. .
In conclusion, developing and promoting such vaccines without knowing the origin of the virus or obtaining the original strain will provide no benefit and has the potential to cause extreme harm. The only thing that these big pharmaceutical companies have been doing is endangering all humans! What we can and must do is to spread the truth about the virus and vaccines as much as possible, so that more people can be aware and informed about these vaccines.
