Police Unions Across the U.S. Protest Vaccine Mandates
Translated by: MOS Finance Team – Feihong Yu
Vaccine mandates have generated various forms of opposition across the United States, particularly in the police sector, where police unions in several states have publicly protested the implementation of the policy for police officers.
In late August, the mayor of Chicago said he would implement a mandatory vaccination program for city employees. The union president immediately objected, comparing the mandatory vaccinations to a massacre.
The executive director of the National Fraternal Order of Police, Jim Pascoe, also said in August, “As a union, we will defend our members. The Massachusetts police union was one of the strongest critics, calling the mandate “accidental” and brutal. Portland, Oregon, had announced on Aug. 30 that it would require all city employees to be vaccinated, and the police protested and then said they were exempt.
In addition, police unions in Los Angeles and New York City have protested in various ways against similar government measures. Mandatory vaccination will surely provoke more resistance, more exploration of the truth about viruses and vaccines, and the awakening will eventually come.
