Tsai Ing-wen Showed Up at the Launching Ceremony of the Tajiang Ship of Taiwan Navy
Translated by: MOS Gosbel Group – Aimingzhou
On September 9, Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen went to the Su-Ao naval base to preside over the launching ceremony of the latest “Tajiang” patrol ship.
The Tajiang patrol ship, developed and built by the Taiwan military, was designed to meet the combat needs of the Taiwan Navy in air defense and missile interception. Due to its outstanding anti-ship, medium-range air defense combat capabilities, fast speed and a certain degree of invisibility on the ship’s hull, the Tajiang patrol ship is also known as the “aircraft carrier killer”.
Since President Tsai Ing-wen was elected, relations cross Taiwan-strait have been a deadlock. The CCP accused the Tsai government for pursuing independence, so they cut off all the official ties with Taiwan. The People’s Liberation Army continues to intimidate Taiwan by having their military crafts flying or floating around Taiwan. At the launching ceremony, Tsai Ing-wen said that with the Tajiang ship, “the Taiwanese navy that defends the sea and territories is even more powerful.”
