The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been brutally repressing and persecuting the Uyghur people in Xinjiang. It has been defined as a “crime against humanity” by a growing number of countries. In Afghanistan, more than 2,000 Uyghur from China, including second-generation immigrants who were born in Afghanistan and whose parents fled Xinjiang after successive persecution attacks by the Chinese Communist Party. Their identity documents identify them as “Uyghur” or “Chinese refugees”. They fear of the Taliban will capture them and repatriate them to China after the U.S. military withdraws.

One of the goals of the CCP’s support for the Taliban’s armed seizure of power is to use the Taliban’s hand to stop and fight the Uyghur and so-called “Xinjiang independence forces” in Afghanistan. The CCP has been implementing the Belt and Road colonization plan for a long time, investing and infiltrating the Central Asia countries with Blue-Gold-Yellow (BGY), and one of the conditions of its cooperation is to require those countries to restrict the Uyghurs stay in their territories, and to manage, to monitor, to repatriate, and even to deport those Chinese minorities. The Uyghurs and their organizations in Afghanistan have also become a bargaining chip again.

When the Taliban delegation visited Tianjin in July, the PRC’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said he “expected the Taliban to play an important role in the peace and reconstruction process in Afghanistan.” The Taliban, in turn, said they “will not allow anyone who wants to use Afghan territory against the Chinese Communist Party.” Obviously, the situation for the Uyghurs in Afghanistan will become more and more dangerous.
